Description
We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) Mobile Unit. This part time position offers an opportunity to positively impact the lives of individuals experiencing opioid use disorder. Ideal candidates will thrive in a collaborative environment, demonstrating clinical excellence and compassionate care, particularly during early morning hours three days a week and rotational Saturdays.
Responsibilities:
Perform nursing assessments for new admissions and readmissions as necessary.
Administer and dispense medication for Substance Use Disorders (SUD) following all New Jersey State and Federal regulations.
Accurately document all medication administration and patient interactions.
Review patient medications, including prescriptions and over-the-counter drugs, ensuring awareness of potential adverse reactions.
Communicate and collaborate effectively with the Medical Director regarding medication dosages, adjustments, and patient care.
Conduct and interpret on-site TB tests and other medical testing as ordered.
Monitor and document patient conditions, promptly reporting any significant changes to the interdisciplinary team and Medical Director.
Provide first aid and emergency care as needed, making appropriate referrals.
Offer technical support and education to staff regarding patients' medical conditions.
Maintain comprehensive and precise clinical records.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey (required).
Ability to work independently, utilizing professional discretion and judgment.
Experience in substance use treatment or behavioral health preferred but not required.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Schedule:
Part-time position
Requires availability for early morning hours 3 days a week and rotational Saturdays
