Position: Ambulatory RN Educator (Part-Time, Fully Benefit-Eligible)
Location: IU Health Medical Group East Region (On-site with travel as needed)
Overview: IU Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced Ambulatory RN Educator to support the East Region Medical Group. This part-time role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on clinical education and operational excellence across multiple outpatient clinics. The successful candidate will possess strong ambulatory clinical experience, a passion for education, and a collaborative spirit to foster a culture of continuous learning.
Schedule:
- Part-time, 3 days per week (Monday through Friday)
- On-site in clinics with travel to other sites within the East Region
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and evaluate innovative educational programs utilizing diverse strategies focused on emergency response and medical management.
- Support operational activities by collaborating with team members, subject matter experts, multimedia developers, and learning management specialists to ensure seamless delivery of educational content.
- Facilitate a dynamic learning environment that encourages organizational staff and external healthcare providers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Partner with departmental leadership and other organizational units to assess educational needs and create evidence-based curricula aligned with best practices and regulatory standards.
- Travel to various clinics within the East Region to deliver on-site training and support.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of relevant clinical ambulatory experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field required.
- Valid and active Indiana RN license or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) license.
- Current CPR, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications as specified by organizational requirements.
- Prior experience in education (formal or non-formal) preferred, with a strong understanding of adult learning principles.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to healthcare education and program management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with educational technology and learning management systems.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel within the state of Indiana as required.
